Do you want to go to Israel?
PDX Hillel proudly offers two different, highly-subsidized ways to go to Israel while you're a student in Portland! We have one winter and one summer Taglit-Birthright Israel trip per year for Jewish students. For non-Jewish students, we go on one Fact Finders trip in the winter. If you think you are qualified for either of these trips, you should apply!
If you have any questions about eligibility, application process, or anything else, please feel free to contact us.
Birthright Israel provides the gift of peer-group, educational trips to Israel for Jewish young adults ages 18 to 26. Birthright Israel's founders created this program to send young Jewish adults from all over the world to Israel in order to strengthen the sense of solidarity between Israel and Jewish communities throughout the world. As a participant, you will travel throughout the country, exploring sites of historic, cultural, and religious significance, as well as hiking and taking in Israel’s varied landscape and nature. Additionally, Israeli peers will join you for a significant part of the trip, introducing you to popular culture, music, food and what it’s like to live in Israel. Plus, you may even become lifelong friends!

PDX Hillel leads a group of Portland State University student leaders on an educational, fact-finding mission to Israel and the Palestinian Authority. The purpose of this highly-subsidized trip is to educate any PSU student in a position of leadership on campus about Israel and the Israeli-Palestinian conflict through an immersive trip experience.
